Cornerstone Group Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of government and public affairs veteran
Peter Fraser as General Manager and Business Development Director.
Peter will lead the Sydney office and take responsibility for driving new business. Peter will also provide strategic advice on government relations, public affairs, reputation management, and issues and crisis management to Cornerstone’s clients. Peter will also take over responsibility for the company’s domestic and international strategic partnerships.
Peter will join Cornerstone’s Advisory Board with Founder and Executive Director Joseph Tannous, and co-chairs the Hon. Simon Crean and the Hon. Dr Peter Hendy.
Peter has had an illustrious career in government and public affairs, including advisory roles within agencies, corporations and government. Peter’s most recent role was as Director of Government and Community Relations at Charles Sturt University. He has also held senior roles in the Queensland Department of Education and Training, and as Deputy Chief of Staff and Principal Advisor to the Premier of Victoria.
He ran the Melbourne offices of two international public relations firms, and established his own digital communications firm which was acquired by international management consultancy firm KPMG. He has also been an advisor to the Federal Leader of the Opposition.
