Cornerstone officially launches in Victoria

6 December 2021

Cornerstone Group is pleased to announce its arrival as Australia’s newest national bipartisan government relations and strategic communications firm following the establishment of the company’s Victorian operation.

Cornerstone Victoria will be led by former corporate affairs executive and Ministerial Chief of Staff, Daniel Hoare, who joins our Advisory Board co-chair, former Federal Minister Simon Crean in driving new opportunities in Victoria and at the national level.

Cornerstone Victoria is the culmination of a 2021 merger between Sydney’s Cornerstone, led by Joseph Tannous and Brisbane-based Govstrat, led by Damian Power. The merger brings together a team of highly experienced former government advisers, corporate affairs and communications practitioners and public policy experts.

The merger also brings together a formidable trio of former Members of Parliament to lead the company’s Advisory Board. Alongside Simon Crean are former Queensland Premier Rob Borbidge and former Federal Minister Craig Laundy.

“We are delighted to welcome Daniel Hoare to the team to lead our newly established Victorian operation,” Cornerstone Executive Director Joseph Tannous said.

“Our Victorian operation adds to our existing Australian offices in Sydney and Brisbane to create a genuine national offering. We are confident we have a formidable team of professionals at management level and a bipartisan Advisory Board that is second to none.”
